“Take root downward, and bear fruit upward:” (Isaiah 37:31). Whilst earth orbits through space, earth also tilts upon its axis and will soon reach a position in its orbit where the North Pole is at its maximum tilt and when this happens the longest day of the year will occur in the Northern Hemisphere (June 20, 2024). In 22 days it will be the first day of summer!! ☀️

VERSES FOR THE DAY: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22). King Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived said, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.” (Ecclesiastes 11:6).
•
King Solomon was advising to sow more than is needed in order for there to be extra plants. This is a proper garden technique which I use myself; one never knows which sowing “shall prosper” or “whether they both shall be alike good.” Sowing extra plants is wise because many times seedlings are vulnerable to being eaten (🐇 🦗 🐛). The seedlings that survive can then be “thinned” if too many plants are still left growing.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).
